There's no easy way to directly test the fan switch. You would have to remove it from the radiator, put it in some water, heat the water up, and measure with a volt-ohm meter or circuit tester to see if the switch closes when the temperature of the water gets to the right point.

I fill the oil filter full, roll it in my hands, tipping it sideways as I do this while the oil is absorbed into the filter element, then fill it again about 2/3 of the way.
